I am often asked about my love of creating custom envelopes for my handmade cards. I also LOVE taking my HOARD of pretty Designer Series Paper and Scrap Paper and have a drawer FULL of pretty envelopes that will brighten the mail that others receive!! Create up to 66+ sizes of custom envelopes with this tool and I even did a deep dive into free hand envelopes and ummm... nope - not for me lol. I did a Deep Dive into how to FREE HAND my envelopes.
There is a REASON I am married to an accountant and leave the numbers to him - lol.
So this is a link to a tutorial and I modified it by simply:
~ Taking the measurements of the card and adding 1/8" to each side.
~ Half of the card and adding 1/2" for overlap - top and bottom, side to side.
Lay it out, cut and fold....
Sounds easy and I don't mind NOT doing this as I tend to over think it all - lol.

When it's been -6* this week you mayyyy find yourself looking forward to Spring and Summer - lol. I am loving the seasons, especially as a girl who was born and raised in California until almost four years ago... each season here in the Midwest seems to have it's own beauty! With our upcoming Getting Crafty Cruise coming up... I am excited to plan our visit to California and the dasy along the sandy beaches of Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico with gourmet meals on ship and crafting while at sea!! SQUEEE!! Creating a textured handmade card that celebrates the waves in life and the sun that is right around the corner!
Recipe:
~ Embracing the stunning Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper in the two varieties... taking the Blue bokeh to 5-1/2" along one side.
~ Embossing with the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder and Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine.
~ Using the Take Your Pick tool and the Craft Tips (FREE During Sale A Bration!!) to easily cut the waves apart... and the Glass Mat Studio makes for easy cutting while protecting your surface of crafting.
~ Stamping the ombre yellow piece with the Documenting the Day stamp set (FREE During Sale A Bration!) in Daffodil Delight ink and Night of Navy ink.
~ Accent with the Under the Moon stamp set and the cutest boat!
~ Adhere the Fresh Freesia card stock (5-3/8"x3-1/4") to the Balmy Blue card stock base with Multipurpose Liquid adhesive.
~ Adhere the stamped Designer Series Paper to this.
~ Accent and Adhere with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive the waves - no waste when you turn the cut card stock for a layered waves look.
~ Adding the Wink of Stella glimmer for a fun accent of sparkle to catch the waves in the 'sun' look.
The waves are packed with texture and glitter and this card is one that people can't wait to enjoy and dream of the waves and sun kissed days!

I recently started a conversation with a dear friend like this... and of courrrrrseeee she wanted to know my secret... but I have a different secret to share with you....

I dislike chocolate - lol!
Unlesss..... it is dark chocolate and on strawberries it's even tempting with milk chocolate!
When any reason comes in to celebrate I find myself looking at pretty flowers or a tasty treat. Recently a Doctor of mine, who has become a friend, reminded me that if I didn't have someone buying me roses, that I should buy my own - as I deserve them. For me - roses or chocolate covered strawberries... it's about admitting that I am worth it, also.

~ Scoring the Petal Pink at 4-1/4" and then diagonal cut will allow this to POP up.
~ Real Red card stock at4"x5-1/4", cut the same diagonal with our Stampin' Trimmer.
~ The FREE Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper is really such a fun twist to this card... here the polka dot piece cut to 5"x3-3/4" and cut the same diagonal.
~ Using your Bone Folder to make a firm impression
~ Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to adhere the layers on eace side of the score line.
~ Die Cut with the Adoring Hearts and the red Watermelon paper from that same FREE Packet (only FREE through February with a qualified purchase).
~ Die Cut the Early Espresso card stock (6"x6")
~ Using the Take Your Pick Tool and the FREE Crafter Tips for this ($21 value FOR FREE!) to create the dipped chocolate look. Adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
~ Using the Glass Mat Studio allows for you to create and stamp sooo much better BUT it also is a top quality tempered glass mat that you cand DIRECTLY Cut and Heat on with NO Damage! Whoop!
(Using the Embossing Buddy to absorb the excess adhesive from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit.)
~ Rock and Roll these dipped strawberries into the Versa Mark ink pad and the Gold Embossing Powder.
~ Using the brush from Embossing Additions Tool Kit to brush off what you don't want on there - allowing the chocolate to appear.
~ Heat set with the Heat Tool for this gold leafing appearance.
~ I UPGRADED these 'berries' into a dewy look with the sparkle of the Wink of Stella glimmer brush.
~ Adhere this to the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals for a multilayered look (see the video on the three levels I helped create).
~ Stamp the INSIDE with the Real Red ink pad and the Heart Shaped FREE Stamp Set and the raise berry 'kick stand' to hold the easel card open with Stampin' Dimensionals. (I upgraded the inside with the same sized card stock and designer series paper for a fun festive look!)
Upgrade the inside or NOT??
